The Mountain Grrl Experience is a two day art and music festival in Pikeville each October celebrating and uplifting the creativity of women in Appalachia. Rooted in the vision of a world where all women are safe and equally respected, the festival creates a supportive, inclusive space where everyone is welcome.
The event features live music, art exhibits, workshops, educational programs, artisan vendors, and hands on demonstrations. As a female run festival, it is dedicated to raising funds for Domestic Violence Services and supporting women in need across the region. To date, The Mountain Grrl Experience has raised more than $7,000 to help Appalachian women in need.
